CBD oil in Australia

You’ve probably heard of CBD oil, but may not know what exactly it is.

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a chemical compound found in cannabis, or marijuana. It is naturally derived from the cannabis plant, along with other properties. However, just because CBD does come marijuana, it is not the same thing as Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC. CBD does not have psychoactive properties, and does not get you high.

Instead, CBD oil in Australia is used for a variety of other things: mainly, pain and stress relief. CBD activates the endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for the regulation of sleep, appetite, pain and immune system response in the body. Our bodies produce endocannabinoid, which binds to cannabinoid receptors in our nervous system. When someone takes CBD oil, the endocannabinoid receptors will be impacted and work towards reducing inflammation in the body, which will lead to less pain and stress overall.

CBD Legality

In the United States, CBD legality depends largely on state regulations. Overall, hemp-based products are legal in the United States, but must contain less than 03% to pass under the Farm Bill. However, there are some states that have enacted their own restrictions around CBD.

Right now, CBD is fully legal in 33 states. In Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and Washington D.C., CBD can be used for both medicinal and recreational purposes.

In Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and West Virginia have legalized CBD for medical purposes.

Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Wyoming have limited use options for CBD, only allowing it to legally be used for specific medicinal reasons. The remaining states, South Dakota, Idaho and Nebraska, still deem CBD use to be illegal for both medicinal and recreational purposes.

CBD legality has changed in recent years, with more and more states electing to make it legal for both medicinal and recreational use. Today, there are many discussions in place to legalize CBD in all states.

Using CBD Oil

CBD oil is offered in a variety of forms. Depending on whether you’ve obtained CBD oil for medicinal or recreational purposes, there are different options available to consume and use the oil.

CBD oil can be consumed by mixing into food or drinks, through pills, in spray form, or simply by a dropper. CBD can also be applied topically, through creams, pastes and other products. Depending on whether you are looking to alleviate internal or external stress or inflammation, you will want to take CBD oil accordingly.

The right dose of CBD oil depends largely on the unique composition of the individual taking it. Before taking CBD oil, you will want to consider body weight, as well as the concentration of the CBD. There are very concentrated CBD oils available that can be particularly strong, especially for a person that weighs less. Be sure to keep these details in mind as you are deciding on the right dose for you.
